We are seeking symposium proposals that address cutting-edge topics in Physiology and create something greater than the sum of their parts. We aim to feature speakers whose ideas synergize with one another, helping to move the field forward and address significant physiological problems in an interdisciplinary manner. There will be 15 symposia across the three days of the meeting.
Symposium proposals will consist of one or two organisers who will act as Chair(s), with a maximum of one organizer who can also act as a speaker. When submitting your proposal, please ensure that it reflects a balance of gender, geography, and career stage. Ideally, two senior leaders in the field should be nominated as speakers, along with two early-career speakers (with up to 10 years of experience since their PhD), who should be experienced in presenting their research to a multidisciplinary audience. Single-gender or single-country symposia will not be considered. Speakers from the same country should belong to different institutions. The total duration of each symposium will be 90 min (20 min per presentation). All speakers will be required to submit an abstract. The ISPC will carefully consider all proposals soon after the deadline. It reserves the right to merge similar proposals or ask for possible changes.
Symposium proposals should include the following:
For each chairperson & speaker:
Proposals can only be submitted using the online form, available on this website from 12 January 2026 to 20 February 2026. The Scientific Committee will review and select the symposia, notifying proponents of the outcome by 31 March 2026.
By 15 May 2026, proponent(s) and speakers of selected symposia must register for the Congress and pay the fee; speakers are also required to submit individual abstracts. The proponent is responsible for notifying speakers of the selection outcome and ensuring that all speakers of selected symposia meet the registration (including payment of registration fees) and abstract submission requirements.
