The abstract should be submitted by the presenting author only. Each registered participant may submit a maximum of one abstract.

N.B. Please note that payment of your registration fee is required before you can submit an abstract.

During the submission process, authors can indicate their preference for "poster" or "oral presentation" and one of the following topics:

  • Cardiovascular physiology
  • Neuroscience and neurophysiology
  • Comparative and evolutionary physiology
  • Endocrinology, metabolism and nutrition
  • Reproductive physiology
  • Environmental and exercise physiology
  • Epithelial transport
  • Gastrointestinal and liver physiology
  • Muscle physiology
  • Renal physiology
  • Water and electrolyte homeostasis
  • Respiratory physiology
  • Teaching of physiology

The abstract submission deadline is 15 May 2026. The organisers will then review the received abstracts for oral or poster presentations.

Abstracts guidelines:

  • Title. The title must be in sentence case, except for conventional terms (ATP, DNA, NFκB, etc), with no full stop at the end.
    Example:
        This Title is Written Correctly
This title is not properly written.
         ALSO THIS TITLE IS WRONG
  • Authors and Affiliations. If more than one author (but only in that case), underline your name (the presenting author, in whatever position you appear in the author list) and use commas to separate the author names; do not use 'and' before the last author. Write name and surname in full for all the authors. If more than one affiliation (but only in that case), use sequential superscript numbers to identify each institution, separating each affiliation by semi-colon and no full stop at the end (be sure that the city and country is noted).
    Example:

    Mario Rossi1, John Doe2, Fred Bloggs1,2
1Dept Biomembranes, Golgi & Veratti Univ., Pavia, Italy; 2Dept Bioblast Analyses, Altmann Univ., Leipzig, Germany

  • Abstract text. Keep the abstract text to within 2200 characters, spaces included. If you wish to structure your abstract (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion), display these tags in bold followed by ":".
